Drew Insurance Agency History
The Drew Insurance Agency is one of Northern New York's oldest insurance agencies. We have developed long-term relationships and a strong commitment to our clientele, often spanning multiple generations.
First-generation friends may remember the original namesake owner, Earl K. Drew, who back in 1915 was selling Travelers Insurance Company policies and delivering them with his wife Rita by horse-drawn sleigh. Then Lloyd Stanford joined Earl in 1960 and soon became a revered business partner. Joseph Cutler was added in 1964 to round out a team of some of St. Lawrence County's finest insurance agents. In 1990, James (Jim) Cutler began his insurance career with Drew Insurance Agency and served the local community for over 30 years.
Today, Drew Insurance Agency is owned by Mark Goodnow and is part of the W.B. Goodnow Agency. The office is run by Roberta Jenne with the same commitment to the Norwood community that it has always had.
